Piggy's Need your Help to keep Warm!
In spite of this, VegasPigPets still has an ongoing collection and distribution of your old and unwanted blankets, comforters and large towels to various potbellied pig rescue groups and homes where the pigs may need them this winter and the next and the next! During these tough economic times, many animals are being abandoned when their families are forced to move and have no means to care for their pets. Potbelly pigs are difficult to place in homes due to zoning restrictions and their sensitive nature. The lucky ones will end up in temporary foster care. Your blankets are a huge help and provide comfort and warmth. We pile the blankets into their houses and the pigs actually roll themselves up in them and hunker down on those chilly winter nights!
(No... pigs cannot just stay warm just because they are fat!)
If you can help with any blankets, comforters or large towels, ripped, torn or stained is just fine, please email us at info@vegaspigpets.org and as we are on your side of town, we will pick them up. Also, if you are in need of blankets for your pig, let us know as we want to make sure every pig stays warm!
